The five arms of the Kumo coffee table embrace its round glass top. Hand carved textures and curved joints bring the limbs to life, while the carved center disc can be used for display of your favorite objects. This coffee table is one of the pieces I made from alder donated by the Jefferson Land Trust from the Valley View community forest in Chimacum, 10 miles from my workshop. For this table, I enhanced the color of the alder by applying a solution of Calcium Carbonate. The 1/2″ thick glass top is 42″ diameter with a polished edge.
